Adding your first website to the application

Here is tutorial for adding your first website and installing the WordPress Plugin. After this your site will work with the WPLifeCycle application.

Adding your first website

1. Getting the right plugin

First of all the plugin is called “Free PHP version info” by Funlus Oy. You can get it in three ways. First by uploading the zip file or from your WPLifecycle application under “Subscriptons and API keys” page, there is a “Download plugin” button. Third by searching it from the wordpress plugins finder.

Option 1. Upload the plugin from zip file

In the wordpress plugins panel click “Updaload Plugin” button and it pops a modal where you can browse the zip file from your local files. After browsin the zip file “Install now” button will become active. Now you can click this to start the installation process.

Option 2. Search it from the wordpress addon library

This way you can easily search and install the plugin in the wordpress admin panel. Go to Plugins and Click Add New Plugin. Now you can search plugins by its name. You can find the plugin easyest by writing “Free php version info funlus” to the search field. After you find the plugin just click “Install Now” and it will begin the installation process.

Option 3. Download from wplifecycle applicaton

Third option is that you can download it from the wplifecycle application. Navigate to the “Subscriotions and API key” page and click download from the “Your API key” Modal. You can save your API key at this point or leave the page open because you will need it in the next step “Setting up the plugin”

2. Setting up the php version plugin

Inside wordpress admin panel look for the “PHP version info” plugin, click the icon and you will be directed to the php version info plugin settings. Here you need to add your API key from the WPLifecycle Application.

  1. Login to your wplifecycle application -> https://app.wplifecycle.com/
  2. Navigate to “Subscription & API keys” Page
  3. Copy your API key
2.1 Adding the API key to the wordpress website

Now lets go to the back in the wordpress site and lets start adding the details to the php version info plugin.

  1. Navigate to your wordpress admin panel.
  2. Go to the php version info plugin settings from the admin panel.
  3. Paste the API key to the “API key” Field and click the “Save API key” Button.
3. Check your website from the wplifecycle application

Now if everything went correctly you should see your website running in the wplifecycle application.
